| If I want to continue to write here, it is going to have to be about something other than my thesis, because my thesis is done. I passed my orals yesterday. They sent me out of the room to determine my grade, and when Jay came to call me back in he was beaming and booming, "That was phenomenal!" across the Vollum hallway. I passed. I passed. I passed with flying colors. My readers all hugged me and gave me outlandish compliments. And now I can't seem to find the will to do anything. I had dim sum and a trip to Value Village with Lex this morning, and when I came home, I popped open a bottle of my mother's Victory! champagne and drank two glasses while smoking a cigarette and listening to Belle and Sebastian, basking on my balcony. Graduation is in less than two weeks. |
