Sometimes secretly I want plastic surgery to make me bright and impenetrably whole. Sick, sick, sick. I look at pictures on the internet. Pinch loose skin. Think about what my parents would do if I asked them, cheerfully, for brachioplasty for my birthday.

And then, if I am smart, I make a sandwich and put it in a tupperware and march myself down to the library. Foucault; thesis; Shakespeare paper. Will five cosmetic procedures do that for you? (Didn't think so.)
