...Going...
<<2003-03-05 - 4:13 p.m.>>

The strange tearing noises? Yeah. Those were the Dread Roommate constructing a sign for our door. The sign, which takes up two pieces of paper, reads

THE ROOM BEYOND THIS DOOR IS NOT MOLLIE'S PARLOR. TALKING IS PROHIBITED. IF YOU WISH TO CONVERSE, BE SURE THAT ALL PARTIES HAVE EXITED SAID ROOM AND ALL DOORS ARE CLOSED.

Why yes, she is totally insane, why do you ask?

Finally I've gotten my new room key, gotten my ID card coded for the new dorm. At this point I've moved my clothing into the new room. Moved the furniture of the new room around to suit myself. In a certain sense, the New Room is just not as nice as the Old Room—it's very Industrial Dorm Roomish, which the Old Room is not at all. Nevertheless, the New Room is infinitely preferable. It has, most importantly, a total absence of the Dread Roommate. And the presence of the Lovely Miss Claire is turning out to be an extra-special bonus.

I'm a little frazzled, true, but I think that this is the natural result of having a large amount of schoolwork to do combined with a large amount of moving-work to do. And frazzled or no, I have been thoroughly cheerful for the past two days.

I want to keep the New Room neater than I kept the Old Room. Lots neater. And because the New Room has so much more shelf space, I think that could be a legitimate possibility. Whee.

The next trip to the New Room will bring linens and shoes, I think. So I can sleep there tonight. Cheerful, cheerful, cheerful.
